The eldest son of Governor Sule Lamido of Jigawa State, Aminu, was arrested and detained for killing a middle-aged man on the Bayero University, Kano (BUK) Road, by Rumfa College, Kano, Kano State on Wednesday night.
Aminu, who was recently arrested for money laundering charges, was said to be speeding when the incident happened, and the victim was said to have died on the spot.
The spokesman of the state police command, Magaji Musa Majia, confirmed the incident to newsmen on Wednesday night.
His Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV), with which he crushed the man, was also in the police station.
Meanwhile, the command has released him on bail.
