“I Am My Husband’s Only Legal Wife”- Funke Akindele-Oloyede

GE admin October 20, 2012 4

Since Funke Akindele’s OMG wedding to serial womanizer Alhaji Kenny Oloyede in May this year, Kenny’s unbridled relationship with other women has since become a public item.

Earlier this week, a soft-sell magazine released an exclusive interview with one Ms. Modinat Nike Dada-a single mother of two, who is reportedly seven months pregnant for Kenny (if you missed it, read it here).

Also, one of Kenny’s baby mama’s, Fadekemi, is said to be pregnant and due to deliver before the end of the year.

All these news seem to bother Funke’s fans who were surprised at her choice of husband in the first place.

In a response credited to the talented actress over her husband’s escapades, Funke lambasts people criticizing her husband’s way of life and categorically stated that she is the only legal wife of her husband. Read the excerpts below…

“My husband has never been married. I am the woman he got married to. I was married properly. A lot of negative comments came from sadists who want to run their mouths. So because I am a Youth Ambassador or Celebrity, I can’t have my life?

It is my life. If I do things because people want me to, I will end up unhappy. I do what I do because I want to be happy.

I would still continue to teach morals and campaign against HIV/AIDS and enlighten the youths. It doesn’t make me bad; that is even if it is, because I can tell you authoritatively that my husband is not married to anyone else.

Yes, he has beautiful children, who are not mine now and we have a cordial relationship, which dates back to even before we got married. So what if he has kids? Is that a disease? That is where my heart is! I had many non-biological children even before I got married.

I take them as my own children, pay their bills and help them. I have always loved children. So now that God has given me these ones, what should I do?

Will people be happier if I had married someone who didn’t have children, seem so perfect, put on my make-up and fake smile on the red carpet and start weeping when I get home?”

So there you have it, keep her and her marriage in your prayers.

What she says is true….. but still. I find it hard to believe that he will not continue his womanising ways and have more children outside the marriage. It might break her heart in the long run.
