Nigeria’s First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan, who is currently receiving treatment in a German hospital for an undisclosed ailment suspected to be food poisoning, has fingered the Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke, as the mastermind behind her current predicament.
According to an inside source, there have been many altercations between the President and the First Lady over the closeness and influence of the Oil Minister to the seat of power, with speculations that the married minister is having a romantic relationship with Mr. President.
One source said; ‘Madam cannot just understand why her husband will give the woman such a powerful position if nothing is going on between them. There was a time she demanded that her husband sack or redeploy the beautiful minister to another ministry to which he bluntly refused’.
Since Mrs. Jonathan has been out of the country, Diezani has been a regular face at the Villa, and even accompany the president to Anambra on an official trip last week before jetting to London.
Mrs. Jonathan is said to have complained to her close friends that Diezani wants to take her place at all cost, and was advised by one of her ‘inner caucus’ friends, Bola Shagaya to undergo a cosmetic procedure to enhance her looks so as to be more attractive to her husband.
We hope this will not be another Stella Obasanjo’s Germany trip of no return.

The Minister for Petroleum, Mrs. Diezani Allison-Madueke has achieved so many feats for Nigeria in the petroleum sector which are uncountable and she is expected to work directly with the president. The presidency is trying to flush out the ills associated with the petroleum sector and to improve the sector to the standard that it ought to be in Africa and the World. The presidency can’t achieve this without the help of a seasoned woman like Diezani, and she has so far proven her worth and Nigerians give her kudos for that.
The story making rounds that Mrs. Allison-Madueke is involved in an illicit affair with Mr. President and Mr. Kola Aluko is preposterous. The writer can’t seem to make up his mind on how best to go about ruining the reputation and image of this virtuous woman.
It is so glaring these detractors are envious of her position and achievements, and want to use this ridiculous story to ruin her image. Nothing made sense in the story; most of the information is conflicting.
The story prompts a question on my mind, if Mrs. Allison-Madueke were to be a man; will the same story make rounds?
If the answer to the question is NO, then why are we trying to ridicule a woman that has done so much for Nigeria? The likes of Mrs. Diezani and Mrs. Okonjo-Iweala has proven that if you seriously want to make things change employ the services of a woman and a seasoned one. Nature has made it possible for them to be calm and calculative, why are we discrediting them from such gifts when most of them have used it for the betterment of the populace.
Before we cook up stories that are preposterous please try and be straight forward and do not be clouded with emotions, stories like these can never extinguish a good natured or upright persons, rather it raises such individual to more glory.

Besides, how can you expect a whole Minister for Petroleum not to have a close relationship with the people she works with? Don’t forget two good heads or more are better than one.

The impression this article (Writer) is creating here is that any public figure in politics that travels out of the Country now goes for one medical treatment or the other. Haabaa, we should always be positive minded if you are really wishing our leaders well.

Which of these should we believe? “The source said the First Lady came down with food poisoning in Dubai where she had gone on a secret mission to explore undergoing some procedure”, “Mrs. Allison-Madueke had caused her condition because the oil minister wants to take her place at all cost”, and now,” source in Abuja said she suspected that Mrs. Jonathan might have undergone a procedure in Dubai from which she got an infection”. Are you telling us that she was admitted to see a Lebanon-based cosmetic surgeon and not all of the above anymore?
Kindly tell us which to believe!
If the first lady saw and knows what happened to Late Stella Obasanjo and still leave to Dubai for the same purpose, she is foolish

Mrs. Allison-Madueke is one of the most powerful and highly educated women this country, WHY ON EARTH WILL SHE DESIRE TO BE FIRST LADY.
There is nothing like that oooooo. I don’t know where on earth you are gathering your information from… Mrs. Allison-Madueke is a very responsible woman, married with children and she is also hard working.
