Breaking news monitored from Nigeria Newsdesk says escaped Boko Haram suspect, Kabiru Sokoto, who disappeared from police’s custody in a mysterious circumstance in Abuja on Sunday evening has been re-arrested at the Nigeria-Chad border in Borno State, few hours after 24 hours ultimatum given to IGP Hafiz Ringim expired.

Sokoto, was said to be arrested today by a crack team of military and police detectives who trailed the him to his home state, Borno, after he fled Abuja.

If this is true, the suspect should be taken off police custody and handed over to the military for proper safe keeping.

So if IGP was not threatened with sack, the guy would just gone like that? What a shame!

It is rather unfortunate that these unprovoked ethnic and religious killings are masterminded, not by purposeless thugs but highly placed members of the Nigerian society including pple in Govt. I think kabiru sokoto should be made to name his cohorts and then hanged publicly and imediately. Anybody implicated in these massacre especially their leaders should also be hanged. Afterall, a whole Saddam Hussein was hanged. Once these Bokoharamists in govt are hanged, pple will hesitate before killing innocent Nigerians! Hang them all!!!!!

its a shame dat an ultimatum was the mandate that drive the Nigerian Police force to do their job. it is worrisome dat Kabiru Sokoto escaped by the aid of the big wigs in the Nigeria police. what fate lies in justice & crime prevention in the nation if those supposed to fight crime are the engine house of crime & evil. God help us.
