All things being equal, Nollywood comedian Babatunde Omidina aka Baba Suwe may be smiling to the bank soon as he was awarded N25 million as damages for unlawful detention for 3 weeks by National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) over unsubstantiated allegations of drug trafficking.
The agency was also compelled to tender apologies to star in two national dailies. However, the BUT in the whole saga is that NDLEA is stark broke and was barely surviving since all the foreign and training grants have been withdrawn due to low performance.
There is no way the agency can afford to pay the actor the N25 million the court awarded in their current financial state.
But…
Baba jaiye jaiye deserves to be compensated and this should sound as a warninig to him because he is ever caught with drugs red handed…. I think the rest of his life will be spent in jail
