Many Nigerians who have distinguished themselves in their various calling were yesterday, November 14, 2011 presented with national honors by the President of Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan.

Amongst the recipients were Africa’s richest man and President of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, who received the Grand Commander of the Order of Niger (GCON) the highest award ever given to a non government individual. Others were Nollywood stars like Olu Jacobs, Genevieve Nnaji, Stephanie Okereke, Amaka Igwe, Osita Iheme, soccer star Joseph Yobo, and many others.
