“I Have Begged My Wives To Stop Getting Pregnant” – King Sunny Ade

GE admin October 8, 2011 1

Recently, legendary juju musician King Sunny Ade gave out his daughter’s hand in marriage at a very low-key event on the request and insistence of his daughter for a quiet wedding.

In an interview culled from Vanguard on Saturday, KSA said was asked why a low-key wedding for someone of his status? He replied;

The request was hers. She told me that she just wanted to go to the registry and have a small reception. I had to start calling my friends and apologizing that we are not having an elaborate wedding. Besides, I have other things to celebrate, like my 65th birthday and my mum’s one year remembrance. So, there was no need to invite the whole world to the wedding and call them again a few days later to come for my mum’s anniversary and my birthday.

Talking about his regrets for not having a university education, KSA appealed to his other daughters’ would-be suitors to let them complete their university education before asking for their hands in marriage if they want his blessings to the union.

And here comes the final question: Do you still want to have more kids?

It’s not that I still want to have more kids but if I decide not to raise kids anymore and one of my wives insists on having one, whom am I to say no. But the truth is, I have begged my wives not to get pregnant any more. I have grand children that are up to 16years and very soon, I will become a great grand pa and you don’t expect a great -grand father to continue to father kids.

Excuse me sir, it is not a sole decision of the woman to be pregnant, you have to cooperate with her and seek preventive methods avoid another addition to the well expanded brood.

    Why do you keep referring to KSA as ‘HER’? ‘He’ is a man!
