The love of money is the root of all evil, unconfirmed reports reaching us says that the family members of Nollywood actress, Ronke Ojo aka Ronke Oshodi-Oke are requesting for an account of how the money raised so far for the treatment of her late adopted sister was spent.
The late Olubunmi Akinleye passed away on Monday, April 11, 2011 at the University College Hospital in Ibadan, after a battle with bone marrow cancer. Arrangements were being made to flow the sick lady out of the country for further treatments, but the treatment will cost around N7 Million and the actress put her goodwill to test by appealing for donations from well meaning Nigerians to assist in raising the said amount.
Few days before the demise of the lady, Ronke cried out for more help for the money to complete saying she has been able to raise only N3.5 Million so far. If the news is confirmed to be true, it is rather unfortunate for those family members who should be mourning their loss rather than asking for an account of money raised.
